The Fine Print: Fuel dealers that participate in VFDA’s Split the Ticket program agree to donate a delivery of heating oil, kerosene, or propane to one of their customers. No minimum delivery. The Split the Ticket Fund will pay for 50% of the cost of the delivered fuel, up to 200 gallons. Payment will be provided after receipt of delivery ticket and a brief description of why the recipient was selected. Payments are distributed on a first come, first served basis. If the funds are exhausted before all pledged gallons are delivered, the dealer agrees to make the delivery without the 50% match. If there are any funds remaining after all pledges have been delivered, dealers will have an opportunity to make a second donation to another recipient. Donations may also be used to provide heating equipment, tank replacement or repairs with the same 50% match, up to $500 per company, as funds allow.
